A different approach to pain, injury and long-term health.
Private physiotherapy for adults 40+, delivered in a fully equipped gym environment to help you move better, rebuild strength, and return to confident, capable living.

Rehabilitation that doesn't stop at pain relief.
Most people come to physiotherapy looking for relief from pain or injury.

What they often don’t get is a clear plan for what happens next — how to rebuild confidence, restore strength, and move forward without falling back into the same cycle.
At Hurdle Health, physiotherapy is not a standalone service.
It’s part of a broader, integrated approach to helping people move well, feel capable, and stay active for the long term.
Whether you’re dealing with pain, recovering from injury or surgery, or unsure how to return to exercise safely, your journey starts the same way.
Start with a 90-minute consultation.
Every client begins with a 90-minute Initial Consultation, regardless of whether your needs are more physiotherapy-led or coaching-led.
This session gives us the time and space to understand you properly — not just your symptoms.

We take time to understand:

-
identification of contributing factors beyond the site of pain
3. Clear explanation & education
You’ll leave understanding:

how to progress safely and confidently
Cost: £95
This session is assessment- and planning-focused and designed to provide value in its own right.

What we don't offer - and why.
At Hurdle Health, we don’t provide traditional, passive physiotherapy treatments or quick-fix solutions.
This means:
-
We don’t rely on routine hands-on techniques as the primary treatment
-
We don’t offer short-term symptom relief without a plan for lasting change
-
We don’t treat isolated body parts without considering the whole person
While hands-on treatments can sometimes feel helpful in the short term, they rarely address the underlying reasons pain or injury keeps returning.
Instead, we focus on helping you:
-
understand what’s driving your symptoms
-
rebuild trust in movement
-
develop strength, capacity, and confidence over time
This approach requires your involvement — but it leads to more durable, meaningful outcomes.
If you’re looking primarily for hands-on treatment or a quick fix, our approach is unlikely to be the right fit.
An active, integrated model of physiotherapy.
Physiotherapy at Hurdle Health is active and hands-off by design.
While manual techniques may be used sparingly where they genuinely support progress, they are not the foundation of our service. We do not offer physiotherapy built around repeated hands-on treatment.
Real, lasting change comes from:
-
education and understanding
-
targeted rehabilitation
-
progressive strength and conditioning
-
building tolerance to real-world demands
We don’t separate “rehab” from “training” — we see them as part of the same continuum.

What happens after the consultation?
For most people, the next step is regular, guided sessions that support both recovery and long-term progress.
Follow-up sessions focus on:
-
targeted rehabilitation where needed
-
gradual exposure to load and movement
-
rebuilding confidence in everyday and gym-based tasks
-
progressing toward meaningful physical goals
Rather than “treat and discharge”, our goal is to help you move from:
pain → confidence → strength → resilience
This is typically delivered through weekly sessions using our structured packages.
Who this approach is for.
This service is well suited to adults who:
-
have ongoing or recurring pain
-
are recovering from surgery or injury
-
feel unsure or anxious about returning to exercise
-
are frustrated by short-term or passive treatments
-
want a clear pathway to long-term strength and independence
It’s not designed for those seeking passive treatment alone.

How we measure progress.
Progress isn’t judged by pain alone.

Depending on your needs, we track:
-
functional ability in daily life
-
confidence and self-efficacy
-
tolerance to activity and load
-
movement quality and capacity
These outcomes guide decisions and progression, not just symptom management.
